i’d like to have that message tattooed on my brain – the one about leaning in and letting things happen rather than worrying too much about any one thing or another. the best creative juices flow that way, i think. (and i like the tonal rectangles.)

Lovely Daria! I was really curious to see where you’d go with all that floss I sent. I love all the play with shapes, and the loose thread ends on the face, its a very cool way to play with that thread.

You’re right, I think there is something to be said for just working with it and pushing forward, seeing where initial inspiration takes you. I love doing that with these projects.

it’s so sweet — plus, fascinating the way that using such small pieces really transforms the look of the fabrics (& gets them under control, I sent you sort of a hectic box last month…).

I’m glad you liked the contents of this package. It was an easy one to put together, I was feeling inspired by it all.

I haven’t started my August/thread project yet (god will we every catch up), but I have a plan. Just pondering how I’ll get there.

this is wonderful. i see the ripples, absolutely, (and the egg sandwich, now that you mention it) and the whole thing says “water.” it’s lovely.

It is wonderful, couldn’t be closer to water. Did you use the shiny side of the one pale blue fabric? I like both sides of it and was curious which one you’d use.

I do think this theme got me out of my button block, don’t you?
